A History of Growth
As 5th generation farmers, our family farming business model remains the core value of Commodity Ag without compromising its professional approach to growth and productivity.
Crops
With over 21,300 arable hectares across 13 properties we produce around 59,000 tonnes of wheat, barley, canola, oats, oaten hay and lupins for both the export and domestic markets.
We aim to deliver the highest quality produce and are continually striving to produce better crops while maintaining a strong focus on the sustainability of our program.
Feedlot
Commodity Ag predominately uses high fibre rations to background around 1200 head of Angus steers at a time for preparation to the Coles Finest Angus programme feedlots, our typical backgrounding cycle is 60 to 80 days, in which time the Angus weaners mature and transition from a grazing environment to a feedlot environment.
Transport
Specialising in selling quality produce direct to clients our fleet of 10 prime movers and 49 trailers allows for servicing of domestic and export markets with grain hay straw and facilities on farm logistics, in bound fertiliser, seed, and internal machinery movements.
With in house accredited pilots, four fulltime and five casual truck drivers we are committed to ensuring all commodities are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
